Therapeutic supervision
Every practitioner receives regular reflective supervision from the Head of Provision half termly — a space to process, make sense of and grow from the work.
Staff development
Continuous professional development is at the heart of Re:Link. Our programme of training days, supervision and reflective practice ensures every team member has the knowledge, skills and confidence to support our children with compassion and expertise.
Every practitioner receives regular reflective supervision from the Head of Provision half termly — a space to process, make sense of and grow from the work.
Attachment, trauma, PACE, sensory regulation, therapeutic communication, restorative practice — training is continuous, evidence-based and always practical.
Daily debriefs and half-termly whole-team CPD days give us time to think together, refine our approach and hold ourselves accountable.
Manageable caseloads, protected non-contact time and a genuine culture of care mean our staff can stay for the long haul — because children deserve consistency.
Academic year
Speech and language therapy training that equips our team with the knowledge, skills and strategies to enrich speech, language and communication for all children, particularly those with speech, language and communication needs. The course builds a shared language around communication development and gives staff practical ways to scaffold learning and interaction every day.
Relational behaviour-change training led by Paul Dix. The day focuses on inclusive classroom management: establishing clear boundaries, responding to tricky behaviours with a relational focus, creating consistent plans for difficult days, and turning challenging moments into teachable moments. It reminds us that when the adults change, everything changes.
A communication and sensory-play-based therapy day that explores how playful, sensory-rich experiences support connection, regulation and relationship. Staff learn how to use sensory play to open up communication, build trust and help children feel safe enough to engage, express themselves and grow.
A new whole-staff session that deepens our trauma-informed culture. The day covers the neuroscience of mental health, the role of emotionally available adults and the PROTECT/RELATE/REGULATE/REFLECT framework, with a strong focus on implementation, relational skills and sustaining a mentally healthy environment for both children and staff.
New training that keeps our physical-intervention and de-escalation practice up to date. Staff review the legal framework, reasonable force, proactive plans and safe restraint techniques, with content tailored to our setting through ongoing risk assessment.
New for 2026/27
A dedicated day for all provisions and staff within the Includa Education Group. It brings teams together from across our settings to share practice, celebrate progress and strengthen the culture of inclusion that runs through everything we do. Staff step away from daily routines to reflect on the difference they make, learn from colleagues and look ahead with a shared sense of purpose.
