How we implement it.
The approaches, people, spaces and structures that deliver our intent day to day.
Zones of Regulation
Every session opens with an individual emotional check-in using the Zones of Regulation, so adults know exactly how each child is feeling and can shape the day around it.
Talking and drawing
A low-pressure way for children to express worries, feelings and experiences through drawing and conversation - saying the things that feel too hard to say directly.
Play therapy
Child-led play gives children a safe, natural way to work through big feelings and difficult experiences - our adults follow the child's lead, using play as the language children speak most freely.
Brick by Brick therapy
Small-group brick building with defined roles - engineer, supplier, builder - rotating so every child practises turn-taking, listening, joint attention, communication and teamwork.
A structured, predictable timetable
Every session follows the same calm rhythm - arrival, check-in, learning, community visit, reflection - so children always know what comes next and anxiety stays low.
NHS speech and language therapist
An NHS speech and language therapist works alongside our team, so communication needs are identified early and supported within the day rather than bolted on around it.
PACE in every interaction
Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy shape how every adult speaks, listens and responds - connection before correction, always.
Purpose-built rooms
Three dedicated spaces: Learn, our therapeutic learning room; Move, our sensory integration and movement room; and Reflect, our therapy and calming room - so the environment always matches the child's needs.
Small, consistent groups
Children learn in groups of no more than four with 1:1 support and the same trusted adults, so relationships deepen and every child is known inside out.
A therapeutic curriculum
Our Thrive curriculum centres on art, music, science, PE, outdoor learning and cooking, with maths and literacy woven throughout and adaptive teaching embedded in every session.
Daily community visits
Every single day children get out into the community - parks, shops, cafes, the library - building real life and social skills, and contributing social value by giving back to the places they visit.
Breakfast and lunch together
Meals are part of the day, not a break from it - children make choices, pour, spread and prepare food, and talk around the table together, building independence, communication and social skills in a natural, unhurried setting.
